10DLC is a type of long code that is registered with carriers to support high-volume A2P SMS messaging using the 10-digit phone number format. Beginning in 2020, Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and other mobile network operators began launching their own 10DLC programs designated for business-to-consumer (A2P) messaging over local phone numbers.
Yes, it applies to all DIDs and Telephone numbers intending to send outbound SMS/MMS to Off-net numbers.
Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and other mobile network operators appointed The Campaign Registry (TCR) to manage the 10DLC registration initiative, with the requirement that each organization or company must register a Brand and Campaign with the TCR. MNO’s (mobile network operators) use the TCR’s verification and vetting process to determine campaign message throughputs.
10DLC brand and campaign registration can take 7-14 business days to complete.
This will be an ideal timeframe provided there are no rejections on the brand and campaign. Due to the late compliance of other businesses, TCR, carriers, and DCAs are experiencing an influx of registrations, thereby increasing the time for the approval of campaigns.
For the TF verification, it can take from 6 to 8 weeks for the TFs to be verified.
Pronto SMS is required by the CTIA's Best Practices to include a system notification on the first message informing the recipient how to stop receiving messages. However, customers are able to disable Opt-IN messages by either importing previous Opt-INs documentation or allowing the Implied Opt-IN.
